when your sprayin onto block do you guys prefer blockwork that has just been flushed up or jointed ? used to always point up my blockwork with an iron(not the kind for shirts spunker) as it compresses the mortar which is meant to make it less water permeable, but when sprayin two pass the render seems to hang out the joints/beds so now i just flush up so i got a flat surface for sprayin on, what i'm gettin at, there is still plenty adherance on the flat surface without keyed joints ?? isnt there ??

Do you notice any difference when you scrape back mate it might be hanging on the joints cause you're spraying a bit wetter if you do 2 passes

Keep it flush mate all that jointing up rough blockwork is bollox the render you are covering the wall with will be the weathering, if you joint it up it often grins through.

flush pointing.....that'd be nice not the rock hard sausage pointing(eeek) that were used to :)
