Today i experimented with a plastic trowel, simple job 1 bag on board so i thought ide give it a try, two coated with steel and flattened with steel left it a while then hit it with the plastic seemed to work half way between floating and finishing then dry troweled with steel perfect finish with no water, ime impressed.

Alright I've heard enough, I'll have to buy and try one. I only want an 11 maybe 12in at the most so which make come out tops?

too small get a 15" :RpS_thumbup: i have 20 and 15 and use 15 on both walls and lids. 20 reserved for big lids

i buy mine from carl in Liverpool direct the first one he sold me was a 15". i just find they are easier to use than a steel in the last stages of trowelling up , less skill required to use if that makes sense so using a slightly larger trowel will not be a prob.

These trowels are used a lot more than you would think some spreads try and hide them from other spreads!
