Hi all, I have a problem and I need help. I've just built a shed in my back garden. One of the walls is tight against a boundary fence (12 inches) with my neighbour, so there is no room to swing a trowel. We used to talk but now we don't, so temporarily moving the fence is not an option. Instead of the usual sand and cement rendering is there any product out there that I can roll on to the wall or any other way for me to get a plastered looking wall and be water proof? Thanks very much for the help. Oh by the way I've just spotted a product called Sandtex High Build. Could this be the product for me???

i was told that when a shed is that close to a boundary the back wall had to be clad in fireproof board

Any way why is someone asking plasterers on a plastering forum how to plaster without plaster?

Because he's sh1tting himself to ask the neighbour can I take down the fence for a day or two ,he probably lives next to me meldrew and doesn't want a bollicking

I think you need some kind of stucco product...:RpS_thumbup:

You need to talk to Kirk Giordano. There's a thread in this section where you can ask Olican, sorry, Kirk, a question and he'll get back to you..he may even address your problem in one his videos. Good luck. Don't forget to mention The Plasterer's Forum:RpS_thumbup:

Hi all, thanks for the comments. Just to clarify, it is a block shed. I would ask my neighbour if I can take out the timber fence panels temporarily except that I know he will tell me to sling my hook because he has bamboo screening stapled to it. Does anyone think that Sandtex High Build will work on a bare block wall??? Thanks again

i would use fibre cement planks, make sure you order lengths that will go the full length of the rear of your shed, you could fix them at the corners of your building without moving the fence.

Don't get it. If you can get in there to paint high build on what's stopping someone squeezing in there to render? No wonder he's not speaking to you. Must be like having Prisoner Cell Block H next door.

It will if you use a stabilising solution first.
