Hi all,

Whats everyones step by step plastering techniques ?

Mine are as follows,

  1. Pva wall
  2. Mix up and lay on first coat,
  3. Wait to set a little and flatten, taking all lines out and filling out parts needed
  4. Mix up and lay on second coat,
  5. Flatten again making sure its flat and everywhere is filled out and all lines are taken out
  6. Trowel off using water spray

On back of bags there’s a good guide , only thing I’d change is the water , possibly 15 litres maybe a better guide instead
 
Get sheeted up slap it on drive to McDonald have a breakfast wrap or double sausage egg mcmuffin! Go bk finish off clear up get paid!! Ooh is cash ok? Yes Mrs Smith that's fine! Pub for a swifty, then home Netflix or PornHub depending how I'm feeling afternoon nap! Then go back out before she gets home clearing all evidence of been home :LOL: back to pub couple more Swifty's then roll in later on and play the hero about what a hard day I've had!!!

Oooooh I do like a breakfast wrap. Took wife's uncle who was labouring for me for his first mac d milk shake other day. 58 and never had one . You should of seen his little face lol

I'm going to work on the assumption that you're just another windup merchant. Good effort.

This sounds like a perfect day at the office ;)
 
i used to do it the hard way

Knock up. Pva. Set up. Tight first. Lay in straight away . Flatten. Load van everything other than radio trowel n dust sheet. Finish set n go. Home by1,

I’ve been trying @carl-the-plasterer method tho it’s great, same 4 hour job goes As follows

Sheet everything up
Blue grit it
Clean blue grit off everywhere it spashed
Take all sheets up n go

Come back the next day n repeat steps at the start minus the pva
 
Do a lot of you second coat with the same mix ?

And do you second coat with out flattening the first ?

Ive been doing it 10 years now and always pva, lay on, wait, flatten, wait, second coat, wait, flatten, trowel
