Hi all, hope you can help.

I am currently renovating an old bungalow, about 60 years old. I started to strip the wallpaper from one of the ceilings and the plaster came with it, exposing the old plasterbaords.

I just wondered if it is ok to plaster over those boards, is there something I should apply first or would it be best to use new boards?

Thanks for reading

Listen you silly c**t I’ve sent you a couple of private messages and your balls were not big enough to answer them so I will shame you publicly instead..
You are nothing but a keyboard warrior send me a pm with your number and I will phone you and come and meet you to tell you face to face ..

If the plasterboards are sound then a coat of pva diluted 30/50 would be fine

Hey, thanks for the advice.

I have taken the ceiling down now and already out a new one up but there are other ceilings to do so I may try using pva on them, i have seen other people recommend doing that.
