Plastering behind radiator

I've just removed a radiator and found that the plaster is all fluffy and crumbling off. What should I do with this?

Put a larger radiator over it.

Brush it down, give it a good soak and buy a bag of easifill 60 and give it a couple of coats then sand it mate. Assuming the rads going back that is.

There has been moisture in the wall - damp.

Depending on the reason it may or may not dry out.

Check the pipes and see if they have leaked and caused it.
