Taken down a partition wall todayJust been to dispose of the plasterboard at a private tip probably a total of six 8x4 sheets and had to put it in a seperate skip to went to pay and came to nearly £20.What a rip off so basicly you are paying half the cost to buy to dispose of them.

Just done a 4m x4m dining room. Had to erect a stud wall where doors used to be. I left the boarding of them til last and put all me off cuts in there then boarded over them. Should be pretty sound proof:)

They wont even take them at the local authority tip now even if you fill the boot of your car, someone get turned away the other week so there is going to be a lot of vans driving around at night down country lanes ;D ;D

got this from the landlord the other week..
if you go down the council offices and tell em your doing your house up you get three FREE vanloads on a permit..
thats peterborough though... might not be everywhere..
and you can get a hell of a lot in a 'vanload'... worth keeping it in the back yard for a week or two?
