Never done joint filling before, I have fitted tapered edge plasterboard in the rooms of our house, are there ready mixed easy sand fillers that can do all the coats ie: fill to finish (then sand flat) with the same filler?
If so how many coats/stages, some research seems to say two some, some say three, does the scrim go on the board dry ie: self adhesive scrim or should it be laid onto a thin bedding coat?

Lozzer.

Three coats mate. Buy the gypsum ready mix joint cement as this will do all coats. Scrim before you apply any cement. First coat fills the tapered bit of the board, second coat comes out an inch either side and third coat another inch from second, think its 4/6/8. make sure you scrape your edges right back as ready mixed is a nightmare to sand down.
