I've started to notice a strange pink staining on the external wall of our Victorian property. The render is lime based and was redecorated using lime-based paint about 5 years ago.
The stain seems to be more noticeable on a wet day. If you rub the wall or lightly scratch it, an orangey mark appears (see photos) but then disappears a day later.
Does anyone know what this stain is or what might be causing it?
