Have a job to do on a 4 storey old Victorian house.
Spoke with Parex rep and he's give me a spec for the above.

Has anyone used it and if so what's your views.
Was going to put mesh in base coat.
I have a feeling it may need 2 scratch coats before a top coat.
Going for float or scrapped finish.

Any tips appreciated.

Yes I used it on a job earlier in the year.
I scat the walls first, dubbing coat.2 base coats,1 with mesh then float coat with the fin
It's just like there monorex to be honest
We floated it and sponge finish
They do say to watch out for a colour difference through out due to the sponge finish
Mine came out good though

It's going to hang this time of year as its a lime product.
And you'll need to leave the base longer to cure before you go over it.
But yep nice to spray, similar to rule as monorex, but bear in mind it's 20% more expensive than monorex.

Scat?
Is that what us in Bristol call a scud?
What do you use for it when it's a lime render?

Was thinking of doing a scratch finish aswell but sponge seems the best as long as the colour won't differ to much.

It's a big 80m hit so was thinking of spraying.
Did you spray all the coats?
What thickness did you get with those 4 coats in total mate?

I'm not doing it till spring but was going to leave plenty of time in between as don't need to rush it.

It's got a similar coverage rate to Monorex hasn't it?

Yes a Tyrolean splatter coat.
I used nhl3.5 and course sand for this.first basecoat was around 15mm with mesh.with another scratch coat around 10mm.topcoat around 7-8mm
Sprayed all coats with a ritmo
I left the basecoats a month before topcoat

Thanks mate.
The reps mentioned fixopierre which is like micro I believe for lime render.
I may stick to that then I can't be fobbed off if any issues!

Alright mate scat it with hydraulic lime 3.5, 3-1 with chard sand, buy a dumpy from Chards on Feeder Road. Harl it on. Then scatch with the same mix, thicker obviously then put your Parex top coat on. Save a fortune on materials.
