Get a proper camera with a flash and get a pic up.

I can vaguely see some striping.

Did you seal the wall or just chuck emulsion at it?

Looks like the paint hasn’t been stirred in the tub?

Don't know. Can't see.

I had a spectacularly thick labourer last year.

Very good at breaking stuff and portering but very little else. Finds it very difficult to absorb new information - like mixing paint with water to seal new plaster.

If you leave a splodge of paint on an unsealed wall for more than a few seconds, it'll suck all the water out and you're fooked

@Stevieo could mixing up the wrong ratio of a mist coat make it look like that

Not really. More like not mixing it properly. Pouring them both into the tray and hoping the roller will mix it for you.

Even painters say different things - 20℅ either side of 50/50 seems to be okay.

I mix same way as I do with PVA - splash of each, and hope for the best

someone told me they had to go back to brick and start again!
Yep....not quite back to brick..for the ones I've done..but all plasterboard taken off back to stud..re boarded, skimmed then painted again.(not with valspar paint)
Skirting , facings , coving, electrics etc....
Done a few .. all through claims against valspar...
All paid out (y)
