I am soooo fed up of seeing pictures of over polished plastered walls and ceilings... the trouble is people think its good as they would not post it all over social media...

I am a matt and flatt chap... the way it should be

I've created a s**t load of trouble for myself, family (and everyone else) over the years by over-polishing walls. I used to think the 'don't over-polish finish' advice in books was an old wives tale ... I found this out the hard way late in life only when I've come around to re-decorated my own work. After a few occasions a pattern started to appear as the matt emulsion on every ceiling came away on the roller leaving a perfect plastered surface below. It's then a true txxt of a job to fix.

p.s. a quick way to ruin a wall is to cross-trowel it when the plasters hard enough that you're not getting fat (or phat for those under 25, off it..
