Hi there
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for my particular query. I live in an old property which still has its original roughcast in Dorset Pea although it has been patched in places over the years. Some parts badly need patched although I am considering a complete re-roughcast. As the original Dorset Pea is no longer available I am open to similar alternatives. A builder used the new Dorset Pea aggregate whilst replacing a lintel & I don't like it as much as all. The aggregate isn't rounded like before & more jaggy if that makes sense. I'm not sure if I'd want my whole property done in this new mix, but I do like the look & colour of the original. The base is a nice caramel brown colour & I'd like to replicate that if possible. It has stood the weather well & hides many a sin, as opposed to lighter finishes. I include a photo of the front of my property prior to the most recent repair job to the lintel. Any suggestions that would best match my desired look are greatly appreciated.
