NVQ 4 senior crafts plastering diploma

hi all does any know about this nvq 4 ? came across it on the net looks similar to the german meisterbrief qualification but dont know anyone who has it!!always thought that the city and guilds and advanced craft cert was about as far as you could go within plastering without going down the hnc and onc route? and happy xmas to one and all stuy
 
In have level 4 in all plastering subjects/ dry lining/ ceiling fixing/ general building . If you want to examine students for GNVQ you need this qualification
 
when I was in Germany (1992) to get a "Meisterbrief" (without it you could not open a company) you needed city and guilds parts 1&2 plus the advanced craft certificates and 6 years of accounts to show you have run your own business in the UK.

i got my meisterbrief in 91! i think it still stands marshy still got mates over there , seems a bit strange to offer a nvq 4 and have no one to deliver it !!! tshuss stuy
 
qualifications and certificates nvq's etc all that crap doesn't mean a thing if you can't put the stuff on the walls/ceilings and finish it correctly! nobody is going to pay you if your holding a clutch of certificates but your finished work is sh**e !??

ausgezeichnet!! I'm not clued up on German law since coming back in 2000 when they started the euro and the sh** hit the fan !! so I came home.should think your paperwork stands but knowing "ze Germans" I'll bet they need some kind of updates to make more money out of you? I would say the nvq4 would be equivalent to advanced craft, the nvq came after C&G and in my opinion is a watered down version so maybe 1,2 and three are and the four is what really matters as does advanced craft.

my german is now shxte but my one son (15)is here from germany (dresden) for xmas my ex german!! and yes your bang on about the euro mate that spoilt it big time, they were good times ,and for the qualifacations like you said dont mean jack .just wondered about a nvq 4 in plastering? as artisan said nvq4 normaly for management etc... ich wunch euch ein froliches weinachten unt viel spass
 
When I did NVQ 4 it was a demonstration that you could demonstrate knowledge. I was mentored by a level 4 tutor.It was a paper chase I spent a year teaching plastering students at a college. At the end of it I had to present a portfolio of said knowledge to gain the award. At that stage I could sign off my students. In a way it is a management course its primary purpose is to allow you to qualify others. If you want to do this course try approaching a lecturer at a plastering college.
