Noob: Skimming

Complete noob here, looking for some help on which supplies to buy to skim the walls, not sure if ready mix is applicable to the job, can get a mixing paddle if required. All supplies will be bought from B&Q. Also a recommendation on which tools would be great.

All paper has been completely removed from the wall, not shown in the above photos. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck, but no matter what tools you have, if you don't know how to use them you've got no chance, itl end up looking like a dogs dinner.

Semi limited budget! Do yourself a favour go write that on plumbing forum. Or just sand your walls down and accept a poor finish! Go buy a parkside trowel and a bag of multi off eBay for £50 it’s easy
