Anyone ever get splashes out of the cement mixer when mixing render ?

Been scratching the back of me old mans house today, hes not long put a new patio down, so when i turns up this morning hes stood there with a couple of tarps and an old rubber dustbin lid :confused:

The bin lid was a mega fit on the mixer and stopped all the splashes, whilst the muck was turning. Looked like a right couple of planks, but tidy job.

Yh i got the idea of a bin lid from a mate wicked idea, also great for when cleaning the mixer with bricks put the lid on and dont worry about the splashes.

I think bubbles been on dragons den with this but His was for lime dust:RpS_thumbsup:

Lee I do that when I'm in public lol. Didn't do it in maccys t'uther day though. Didn't have time!

The mixer sits backwards slightly mate, so it just sat on the front, quite snugly as well. It was the old heavy rubber type not sure if a plastic one would do the trick.
Sorted, clingfilm anyone got website for the Patents Office.
