after crashing my old tranny the other week, iv bin driving a 59plate medium wheelbase tranny.

if any1 wanted to no they are proper nice vans. would recommend

Pre op or post op! Myself i prefer post as they have that special suprise waiting for you in their boxer shorts! ;D

so are the transit vans "car like" to drive now with the improved position and gear change finally come into line with the rest of the vans and most importantly are they quiet? as in can you do more than 50 on the motorway and still talk to the person next to you? my old partner had the smiley face it was bullet proof but slow as fook and loud as hell. I need to know because having looked at the new shape I am seriously considering one?????

yeah they are far more car like. prob still not as much as the vw and vauxhall, but they are pretty close. not very loud either. the 1 i got, dunno wot bhp it is, but its well nippy. plenty on torque even when im carrying all tool, machine and bags of gear. cruises at 70-80 very easy. gearbox is nicer too

got some nice little features like anti roll back for hill starts which i quite like

there more car like very quite.go for at least a 110 ps tho as 85 are as flat as a fart.one that i use my self now has cruise control, heated windsreen, skid contol etc its better equipt than me car

ive had mercs , a vw, nisssan nowt beats a transit in my view 3 rd one in a row ive had
the way i see it your van is a tool of your trade so you need it to be reliable and comfy as i spend half my life in it. i always go top spec as its against tax any how keep 3years then get rid

can any1 explain this to me. iv only had it 2 days, and there is no book as its hired.

when u pull away, there is a green arrow that that lights up at bout 2500 revs in each gear. what does it mean?

it is recommending you change up a gear ;)

i got the 85ps swb one on an '09 plate and am well happy with it. Even rammed with the machine stuff it sits at 70-80 very well. Lovelly gear change and the dash is modern and cab well spacious. Imo all you need is the swb for most applications as it was designed around an 8x4' board being able to be pushed straight in up against the side which brings a smile every time.
