Hi all

Joined the forum to get a wee bit of all your expert advice!

I want to repair a hole in a wall, looks like breeze block that has been Plastered over. It's about 5" deep by 10" wide, above an internal door.

Any tips and advice would be great

Cheers

Julz

It's 5" deep.. Got a 5kg bag.. Hope that'll do it! Does it need scrim before plaster?? Whole wall round door frame a mess, so reckon it needs a skim.
Thanks again !!

hope that pic works! its just a weird shape and depth, at least 5"... its an elderly couple who's house it is and neither can remember how it happened ...just hope the easy fill works ok! scrim and unibond after the easy fill?

thank again guys!

:)

Can't really see much from that exceptionally small picture, but I'll hazard a guess that you will need more than a bag of easyfill. :RpS_lol:

What's you next piece of advice bakes? And are you actually a pastry chef?

you dont need to skim over the easy fill...........just bang it in. leave it proud of the wall so when you rub it up it will finish flush with the wall. unibond the hole prior to filling for suction control purposes. or expanding foam to reduce the depth of the hole to fill if u like............

It's 5 inches deep!

Easyfill wont do it!

Its above a door or opening so maybe a rotten timber lintel?

Fill it with a pornographic magazine, pack those pages in tight. Then skim with pig excrement modified with SBR, If still not smooth enough then you can fall back on your full bag of easyfill. :RpS_w00t:

If only I had stuck with paper porn, not downloadable and kept my pet pig ... All would be good!
Think the door frame might be rotten.. Only have a wee look yest.. Think I'll wallop on the easy fill and hope for the best. Whole house is a wee but wrecked ! Thanks for the help
