Be gentle folks new member here, give it at least a week before all the banter starts.:RpS_wub:

The names Al I run a garden design and maintenance company.

I know what your thinking, why I am joining a plaster forum, well to be honest plastering and render are a big part of our designs and as I have regular problems regarding this material on a regular basis who better to turn to as well as looking for trade men who actually know how to apply would be a huge bonus.

Well that's me introducing myself I now await with anticipation on any replies

Welcome along Al

the banter hit in just a few hours - not bad..... lol

Ask your questions pal, you will get your answers and help (usually early on).... then the thread is open game....lol

Search the forum using the search function as well - lots of items have been answered before, but new systems and technologies come along as well!

Good luck!

Hi folks so it took just a couple of hours ah but you were gentle so cannot complain and thanks for the welcome mat to all who replied.

Time for that moaning to come out, on a rant I'm afraid with the Krender buttermilk but to be fair I did make an error going by some experts on this forum, did not take into consideration temperature so that will explain the flaking but my biggest nightmare has been trying to clean, just finished a new design and render a big factor of the design when finished we had planting out and soil as expected got onto render well that's were the nightmare has began it has stained the render I have tried hosing and warm soap water and still marks where the soil touched the wall, the walls is a big part of the design so stands out , owner back in a week please any advise would be great and a life saver as my only other option would be to paint but reading forum that too is not recommended, oh by the way the chap that did the rendering decided to help himself [filled in for another chap who was ill] after getting paid to all the men's gear [not good] so will be looking for a chap for other works in the area of Merseyside

look forward to feed back Al

sorry chum never pissed me off just amused me, read after a couple of glasses of alcohol no probs Al

I think it comes under DONT HAVE A LIFE this is me socialising :flapper: forgot how to do it. thanks for message Al

Merseyside mostly but go where the work is, part of the company offers soft & hard ground maintenance works as well good for all year income Al

hi al, rendering for garden design is always a problem. have a look at wallcrete if you dig around the forum you will find it.

Plasterjife on here is in your neck of the woods. I sometimes do get landscape gardeners work and it is usually non standard and a bit of a first time I have done that experience. Actually a bit of a pain in the arse work but the guys who give the work are good payers.

As for cleaning? Well if a pressure washer won't shift it I don't know what will? Brick cleaning acid might bleach it. There is equalising paint, water it well down and Jubs is good. £104 a tub and does at least 30m2.
