hi ya all...... i have gone on to work for a small damp proofing company the mix is 3 sharp sand and 1 cement!! my querry is the spreads on there rub up the inside work with a float then scratch it ready for setting ?(looks like outside finnings with a scratcher put thourgh it )
is this normall pratice ?
ive allways put a devil float over my inside work

I’ve always devil floated interior work with sand and cement just the way I was taught but I’ve also come across lads that have rubbed up it up aswell leaves a coarse texture for the finish coat to adhere to
