cant understand why you just dont get a plasterer in,its a downstairs toilet, you say yourself its not a big area, the time you must have wasted coming on here waiting for replies advice a plasterer could have been in and out and it could well be on the way to drying out , get a plasterer in kermit it wont be all that expensive ,as you say its not a big area.

your on the right track with how to trowel up in theory but you actually doing it is different all together, timing is key. if you have never skimimmed before follow hectors advice:RpS_thumbsup:

very rare i give it a dry trowel, ive always got the brush in my hand when troweling up

take hectors advise.may only be a small room but all your visoters will be sitting looking at all angles an finish and you!
