Pleased to find this forum!!! Thank you in advance and in hope :RpS_biggrin:

I've removed an internal door and adjoinging wood/glass panel. I'm left with the single brick small ends around the door frame (emulsion painted).

How might this be best given a plaster finish please? Its small job I might be able to tackle....but probably not worth bothing a plasterer with!

get a plasterer bud its worth paying someone that knows what there doing it wouldnt break the bank :RpS_cursing:

Buy a plasterboard and some. Board adhesive. Cut a strip of board to fit the face. Mix up some adhesive quite thick and apply some dabs (blobs) to the wall every 6 inches or so about half an inch to an inch thick to allow you to level it. Put the board on. Tap it back with a level. If nessecary do the same on both sides once set stick a thin coat board bead onto each angle using either gripfill. Staples or board adhesive. When set use easifill to fill inbetween the two beads in the face and feather in onto the cheeks. Sand once dry. Easy to do depending on your diy ability.

Thanks beddy...:RpS_thumbsup: That sounds straightforward. I like to try on small jobs...
I'm guessing that I would need to hack a small area of the existing plaster back on the long sides of the bricks to give space for the bead to fit. The current plaster ends exactly at the edge of the brick but nothing on the end surface.

So In that case just dab the front board. Once its level fill the gap between the wall and board with some dab. No need to hack anything off. Just stick your bead on with gripfill or dab (once the original dab has set so you don't disturb your board). pva the existing plaster and easifill to your hearts content
