Mixing thin coat

I'm going to be spraying thin coat through a hopper gun. Is it best to water it down if so how much water to mix with it?

i water down same as would hand apply

Like dan says, we pour a few buckets into a gorilla tub to try and keep the consistency the same because every bucket seems to be different
