Mixed suction backgrounds

Hi all . Got a bungalow to skim 1960. Walls are grey plaster and shiny paint so background has mixed suction. How would you prep for suction control and key. Blue grit and similar backgrounds don’t control suction. Any ideas

Thistle gyprime or thistle bondit if you have the time to do the day before mate
I’d go gyprime though
So you'd use Gyprime as the bonding agent over the low suction areas? Interesting as BG technical say it's not suitable for that.

I use it on anything mate it’s ok , nothing will fall off gyprime information online isn’t the clearest I agree but it’s ok to gyprime and skim over within about ten minutes same as you would pva ,
