Metal stud track around window! Is this ok?

See pics. I'm boarding out a job with insulated plasterboard and needing info for around the window reveal. This is an old concrete cottage and around the windows are a mess and have been covered in with Air tightness and tape. I would usually bond a bit of plasterboard to a concrete lintel to tidy something like this up.

Are these metal studs tracks ok to skim over. If I screw the track to the frame and slide the board into it, it'll be perfect but will the skim take to the metal track that'll be shown. I can scrim it too but I'm thinking the skim might blow off in the future.

Can't think of any other way to do this because behind this tape and air tight membrane is a right mess.

Pics are sideways

I personally wouldn't as vapour will always find the coldest surface ( the metal behind 2mm skim) and condense back moisture.
It'll end up staining etc and piss you off.

I've tried a couple of options in my own house that have worked better than your standard floated/ boarded reveals but don't have your membrane requirement.
I'd make sure that membrane is fixed taught and use a moisture resistant adhesive/ foam to adhere insulated plasterboard or a Jackoboard type board for an insulated option.
The jackoboard comes in thinner thicknesses helping with clearances/ losing frame problem.

O I know but ya want to see the mess behind it reveals and walls. Sometimes ya gotta just think outside the box

Are you lagging the void?

Might be a cold spot, and can't see trickle vents.

You may get a moisture build up - condensation there other wise.

Hail Hail, good luck with that problem. Now what is going on with your relation at Glasgow Celtic?

I'm actually going to put a thicker track and instead of normal plasterboard, I'll put 25mm insulated plasterboard. I had the condensing in mind too.

Behind the membrane is a mess and it can't be fixed tight to anything.

I made a few phone calls and what I did is what other plasterers are doing now to get out of this situation.
