Metal Lath, Help Needed

Hi all,

Just wondering what way up metal lath goes, i know the wrong way is when it shines but also remember that one way is smooth the other is rough.

When the lath is on the blockwork and you rub your hand on it should it be rough when moving your hand up or down it.

My brother trained me about 20 years ago but ive forgot most if not all of it so any help would be great.

Place the v inwards so the tip of the v meets the substrate ,make sure to over Lapp placing v inside v over Lapp at least every second rib

Thanks Spreads for the help, would that make it smooth or rough when you run your hand down it.Rough i presume?

It's rough either side but the v in the lath is against the wall so you won't feel them if you run your hand down it,if that's what you meant!!
