Interest in making Marmorino here in Australia. Is hydrated lime which is easily sourced here suitable for slaking for the the plaster or is NHL or Quicklime critical ?

NHL \ quick lime, but you could try with hydrated however I doubt it would work as it will not set the same way NHL dose.
