Log burner question

Don you have logs sat on floor or on runners . Was gonna do a little raft and build storage straight of that

Better still with a membrane underneath the pallets to stop the damp coming up.
So put a raft down. (Got load of sand) Gonna knock a make shift one up out that for now. Tidy garden up a bit

I get kiln dried logs (store in garage) although they have doubled in price over last 3 or 4 years
Ash - brilliant - best
Oak - also very good - more orange look to flame but I never will get it again
Alder - lovely - not so intense heat more enjoyable burn

Yeah kindling stuff
If you burn pine it does not last as long as heavy hardwood does but the bigger downside you will need to sweep the flue more often

Funny you should say that . I.m working for a Asian mate next week. I was taking all old dry wall screw out ceiling in old kitchen . I thought these are nice and rust free . I may as well box em up and flog em to him
Even if I use 100 I still charge for a box of 1000. It’s all Bunce geez ;)
