Hi guys just wondered how many of you on here are local to Westbury/trowbridge Wiltshire?.it would just be nice to know of some local forum spreads that I would be able to contact for when I need extra labour!.And I know I'm going to get some good replays to this for example Iv put local to Westbury/Trowbridge,and I'm going to get someone like essexandy or equivalent.so I'm no going to put my hahaha now.:RpS_lol:

We've recently been asked to price a job in Wiltshire and if it wasn't for my op we would have.

I only really work within a max 20 mile radius of westbury/trowbridge bath is really my limit.hope your op goes well I hear they can do all sorts now like tuck it inside and stuff and help you grow boobs:flapper:.

Hi johniosaif I know what you mean I hate travelling I will do an hour at absolute tops if I really have to but then from where I am that would be like Bristol or Swindon which I have turned stuff down before just because of the distance.
i am lucky with the small local builders I have on my books and the local authority work I get through another contractor,not direct for the authority but its still not bad money.
 
Lots of plasterers I know do not know another one good enough to recommend,how crazy is that, ps I am like this too.
 
I would rescommend 4-5 tops who aren't tied up full time earning **** money like me, there the only ones that wouldn't embarass me I could pull 2 out if it was floating and wouldn't let them do it either im.sad with no mates or im surrounded by subbies who skim

Too tired to make sense, I mean I find it hard to recommend people for jobs, the good ones are always busy, I mostly work with my own guys so don't meet many others on site, highly recommended men have failed to shine when I have used them..

Not quite, even on here, plasterers say I can't recommend anyone, a few I have texted here said,sorry I can only recommend myself,

I do know what you mean. I don't recommend anyone nowadays cos they - almost without exception - sh!t on me one way or another in the past....................

I used to give away 80/percent of incoming work, not one ever sent a day back to me, whether it was that they expect that I am always busy or what I do not know, usually I was with the exception of this recession 2009 been very quiet for me, work was possible but the rates were far too low..
