limelite High Impact Finish over Gypsum

Hi,

Unfortuantely I can't get hold of Dri-Coat anywhere near me so I am going to have to use limelite which says you must use their high impact finish as a finishing plaster (as opposed to multi).

I am only rendering around 1m up the wall to butt up against the existing plaster then skim the whole wall.

Will their finish be ok over regular backing plaster

could you not use renovating plaster.is it a dpc

the finish will go over most backgrounds but not plasterboard (although we have with blue grit.
you may need to blue grit or pva if over old plaster...

You can use multi finish over lime lite just don't pva the lime lite as the multi finish on top will never go of

will that not stop the lime from breathing?

Yeh it will but as its only a patching job it won't mater in that case, it's just an Easyer option than over skimming the whole wall with high impact

I love high impact but find over skimming hard with drying times, u got Nerly all day to finish it on limelite n with in minutes elsewhere on the wall will have go e off or the complete opposit n not going of atal
