Lime

Alright boys. I'm rendering the inside of a chimney breast where customer is putting a log burner. I've read posts and am going for a 6:1:1 mix. Sc+ lime. What lime do I buy and where do I buy it?its something that I've never come across before. Also what's cheapest way of getting a nice "plaster like" finish on it?as multi seams to be out!!

ditch the cement...mix


buy a bag of nhl 3.5 lime

mix 2.5 plastering sand / 1lime

apply scratch coat
finish coat with same to give render like finish
apply ....float.....sponge

better than cement render in this situation
