Always scrutinisng and knick picking at my work both while laying on etc and even more so once finished, to the point of near foaming at the mouth with frustration! :X3: ...

But of late (and for reasons I'm yet to fathom as only encourages more blind rage) have started to go over work tight to wall or ceiling with the small torch on phone at all angles.... Jesus wept! Even after trowel up down side to side little water, firm pressure on trowel and keeping it closed to the wall, all through with mt, combo of mt and super flex and trio of mt s*p*r*lex and nelamax, still see fat lines, trowel mark's, tiny fat hollows etc, take the light away and gone, run your hand over an nothing, turn the existing room light on, natural light coming nothing looks and feels fine,

Is there any way at all or is it even possible to beat this type of lighting? (Tight against wall at all angles)

Apologies for essay!:X3:

Pointless, just enough to get paid is the finish i aim for.

I know its self inflicted torture, and been doing it long enough to understand that its hand applied, wet trade, and there is no such thing as absolute perfection, but curiosity got the better of me one day an has now developed into a bast**d habit of doing it! :X3:

Paint a few of your own jobs and then you'll see all's well.

It’s our worse enemy . A fellow spread sent me a photo of a ceiling i skimmed on a house we are doing . Customer painted it and it looks shocking when halogen tripod light was on . Looks fine in the day .

Only use your phone for making calls. having a cheeky look at pornhub and checking out the latest threads on the No1 Plasterers forum (y) . Your life will be much richer........Just saying

If makes you feel any better felt the same all weekend after moving a light around a job I finished on Friday.

Awful feeling when you've genuinely tried your hardest and you put glancing light over a set!
