Hello all
Just wondering how some of you get over new windows that have lead trays on them.
do you use over sills? Or pin eps to the face of old sill?
Do you use lead trays in uk
Cheers

Over sills, defo. Lead will discolour the top coat soon r later
To be honest I've only ever fitted powder coated over cills on one job and they worked well they slid under the new Windows .
But on some jobs they won't go under the Windows so would you butt them up and seal with mastic.?
I did see some eps cills that come with mesh and basecoat on them which have a drip built in to them which counts for a lot and stops future staining on the facade

There are pvc on the market too. My rule is 70mm in each corner , which goes into the eps for more strength, and enough off the wall to take the drip off the wall.

I am sure the same supplier will have them. Don't forget the side caps .you can get them from selco, wickes or any other builder trader
