Hi,

What would make krend silicone ft go a patchy colour? like a bad fake tan? Would the cold weather make it do that?

P.S. the render was put onto hp12 base which was left to dry overnight and then went over with about 10-12mm siliconeft

cold, damp, drying times, or even at this time of year your base not dried out fully especially going over next day.

Thanks for the advice. We decided to just hack it off and go with sand cement. Will we be okay to still use the base coat if we grind into it after taking the top coat of silicone ft off?

That bit extreme and costly.warrior advice be cost effective with the paint.or give it a week incase it does dry out which can happen

I know it seems extreme but I think its the scraping that's the problem. It's a different texture. Building control wouldn't pass it here. The silicone ft seems really weak, I could scrape a patch back to the base coat in about 10 seconds. Is that normal? Will the hp12 take sand cement?

the reason you get different colours can be rubbing up areas at different times, even with the same bags the difference can be quite a lot.

If it is flat but just discoloured couldn't you Weber lac it or equivalent and then apply a bucket coat material?
