Has any one had any problems with powder getting damp and compacting in the lower half of the hopper (M-Tec 300) thus delivering a load of piss. And does the age of material have an effect?
Had loads of probs today kept turning the water down but it wouldn't stiffen up - started off at 740 (water) got down to 690 but still only 10 bar.
Had enough in the end, got a new batch to try tomorrow, hope that will be ok.
Any ideas?

Nowt to do with your question, your not the same Craig Cousins who went to Germany in the early 90s with a guy called Terry Wilson are you ?

Not familiar with the 300 but would it help if you didnt put so much material in the hopper for this bad batch. Check your power cable as well make sure all the cables are connected

fella i know is having same probs with weber mate , he has two m300s ones having probs the others not , he cant work it out ,

Chris, i did a few jobs with you when you had your A team escort van. i live in Cleveleys
I remember you mate!!! Bloody hell!! What are the chances! and i remember the A team escort van. I've got a bungalow in cleveleys - rented out. Live down south in Bournemouth now been here for about 7 years.
Thought you wanted to get out of plastering and that was *uckin years ago!! what happened?

Northumberland ave, if i remember im on Cleveleys ave nr the pub. decided to keep plastering mate, Tonys been dead 10 years this year, thought you stayed in Germany. No joblings now either all gone mate

Yeah, I lived in Germany for 10 years but it all went pear shaped so we (wife + child) came back to uk. Joblings empire crumbled a couple of years ago now - ted died- but freds still fat...and always will be.
Getting the machine looked at tmrw - its doing my head in.

Got the machine sorted. It was the dosing screw on the back motor which conveys the material to the mixing chamber that was worn thus not dosing the right amount of powder in to the pot.
You can turn them around to sort out the problem temperarly but they need replacing. Didn't know, but now i do!
hope this can help anyone.
P.s Thancks for your sincerity Beddy:RpS_biggrin:

them dosing screws dont last that long on the m300, but they do spray k-rend extremley well, i had an m300 for 2 years and put 3 dosing screws on it

Had it about 8 months now, thats the first problem i've had with it - not too bad really.
Don't know why they don't make them out of steel? surely it would be better.

problem is were the dosing screw sits thats made of steel and is welded to the body what happens when that wears down:RpS_crying:
