jub basecoat

Has anyone got any tips on how to finish second coat of jub basecoat? Tried sponging it but it just keep tearing.

spat finish mate with a light spray of water...
jlm wont sponge well its too sticky

Put on and then go over it with a serrated trowel. Bed you mesh lightly into the surface. Leave overnight.

Next day or longer scrape of any trowel lines and give a tight skim over. Let set then scrape any lines out.
