Thanks Casper...luckily he has a suit & tie job he has walked back into but you wouldn't be so jealous when you see the pain flash across his face when he picks up a cup of tea!!!! (Now I am making him sound like a proper woss!!)

Good for him. At least he's earning again!!! It must be painful all the same. I'd drink my tea through a straw to get away from plastering!

top tip nikki...

keep hold of the gear and advertise for an experienced spread to come and take over the manual side of things plus organising the lads...

you make more money with your head than you do with your back, if youve got a customer base, a good reputation and the gear to crack on youd be absolutely nuts to just knock it on the head and leave the bloke without an income...
think on...

Yeah do as CHris said.... Thats what I am doing :-) have done for about 2 years now :-)

I am working tuesday wednesday this week though :-)

my company is developing into this,we have taken a plasterer on(£100 a day cash) we fell lucky in hard times with work,we do kitchens for a company and 1 builder,we get 1 days notice for a job ffs but can't complain

Thanks for the advice guys. We are really lucky in that Stu has walked back into a decent paying job.. we just need to get rid of all the stuff now. Plastering is definately over for us.

So... anyone want to buy a van???

Ace how do you manage to work with 1 plasterer and 1 days notice for jobs, if a job lasts more than 1 day and another job with 24 hours notice comes up, how do you do it?

Kebab King.. it is a medium wheel-base high top transit, racked out inside for all hand tools, straight edges etc.. Tax'd & MOT'd for 11 months... £2000...

It is a X reg and the milage is 176000 but don't let that fool you, it flew through the MOT with no points picked up, it's been serviced and is racked out inside to hold all your tools etc... tidy cab as well...

Wants to be around a grand at that age and milage.
transits aint worth jack at that age, stuff starts to go wrong on a daily basis.

The tools we would rather sell as a job lot...easier that way... I am currently making a list of everything that there is.. will post as soon as it's done...
