a kraft trowel is good value for money. made in usa very much like a marshalltown, but less money.

I would go for a marshalltown carbon steel(non stainless). They sharpen up quicker and give a lovely finish, you have to ignore the rust or do a forced patina.

So does a forced patina work? does it stay black or is it like the gold plated trowels that ware in and look slightly silver round the edges?
