Hi everyone,
I purchased a new build house about 2 years ago and had several render patch repairs done within the first 12 months as part of the snagging process (due to some small holes in the render/poor finish).
We've now noticed that after it rains and the wall begins to dry, these patch repairs appear as small white areas (?3cm wide circles) that stick out. When the wall is fully dry they aren't really noticeable. When it is raining and the wall is soaked the appearance is uniform (and they cant be seen) - it is only when the wall begins to dry out.
Is this because the patches that have been are denser/less porous so they dont soak up so much water and therefore dry out faster than the surrounding original and more porous render? If so, is this normal? Will this cause any problems in the future? Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks in advance!
