Is this acceptable-cornices and setting?

Hi,
I’m new to the forum and was wanting advice from experienced plasterers. We hired a plasterer and we haven’t been happy with the process and result. They’re telling me that their work is fine but I don’t think cornices are meant to look that way. The corners aren’t flush and seem rough to touch. Plasterer said it will be fine to paint over it.
Also the bathroom setting doesn’t seem finished and is very rough. My concern is we will have issues down the track with cracked tiles etc.
Any advice as I am thinking of ripping out the sheets in the bathroom to avoid problems down the track and having it redone by someone else?
