Happy Sunday everyone,

Weve just had a room plastered and im not sure it looks quite what we expected... it looked fine when wet but now dry seems uneven and some bits are smooth and others rough and theres kind of a grid pattern where the new plaster board is, was hoping someone could put my mind at ease and say if it is a good job or if we should ask the guy back?
Thanks!

Morning. We have a set of rules on here so we need more information first.

What exactly was done, boarding room? over skim? etc...

How much did you pay?

Who did it?

Then we can comment

Guessing grid patterns scrim . Can't really see much from the pics. As for bumps a rekim is only 2 mm on top of whats there

Well, what you don't want is for him to come back

Oh dear, am I a mug?

One wall + one section was boarded (where you can see the lines) and skimmed. The rest, including the ceiling, had a green primer because the walls a re lime (mesh on ceiling) and a skim. As for how much we paid... probably too much?!

We’re planning painting directly, do you reckon it will be allright or will the lines show?

Don’t panic yet, whitewash it and see how it looks. It’s hard to tell from the pics but we’ve seen much much worse on here
