Internal bay window!

Hi guys, Pete here, im new to the forum. Hope everyone is well. I’ve got an internal bay window wall to do, plaster has been hacked back to brick work. Client asked for it to be rendered.
I think they are worried about damp.
Should i offer the option of 2 coat hard wall then skim or do the 2 coat render then skim?
