Improver Looking for Work in Kent / SouthEast, Wetherby And K-Rend Approved

Hello All,

Im based in Folkestone, Kent and Looking for work in the southeast, I am hard working and very keen to learn and admit there is jobs i have no experiance in. I have my own tools and driving licence, no car at moment but will sort one out if i have to. Im hopefully looking for a long term job were i can learn it all and give something back for the skills i would have gained, but will be just as happy to get by with some short jobs.

Skills of use, I already have,

Skim, dot&dab, coving, plasterboard walls and ceiling, WETHERBY APPROVED CONTRACTOR

and also im on a course in a couple of weeks to be a K-REND APPROVED CONTRACTOR .

also have CSCS Card



Skills i dont yet have,

I have done small areas of float work, but i would probabley struggle if i had a large area to do.
Also have no Sand and cement Experiance, but have laboured for a renderer.

I might go on a sand and cement course yet, depends if i can find the money.

If any one can help it would be much appreciated.

so you cant float and set a decent wall, no sand and cement experience but your considering a course for it.
you think a days course is going to make you suitable for mono application

its a joke pal, youve just summed up whats wrong in the game.
krend are a joke and rightly so there loosing there market grip on the market.

id admire you know you limitations but day courses are a complete waste of time,and they hand them out like confetti

id be interested to hear k rend come on here and defend there marketing.
 
Hi owls,

Im just trying to do what i can to get on, i have done my own work and worked for a plastering company in the past but just skiming, what use to let me down is they would say i have some rendering work next week if you want it and i would have to turn it down but i would like to learn more. Also both course are 5 day course,

Welcome along Mark ,good to see you have been honest on what you can do ,and hope to do , doing a course on any material shows you have an interest ,which is good ,best of luck mate hope someone can help you out ,but keep posting :RpS_thumbup:
 
I was hoping know one would ask that one LOL, im hoping now one thinks im to old. Young 39

I did a two week course in plastering 3 years ago, and then got work for a about a year, then xmas came and it dried up, i got scared and whent back to the job i had been doing for the last 13 years, as its easy to walk strait back in with all my experance. But I hate the Job.

Anyway just befour xmas just gone, got asked to plaster a friends house, and decided when finishing the job, i would like to give it another go.

And as i said earlier if i could of renderer i dont think i would have run out of work when i did
