Plumbing must be the best trade. Electricians close second. I'm 33 and considering retraining but it's probably never going to happen.

Got into plastering at 19 because I couldn't find another employer willing to take on a 19 year old apprentice. I originally wanted to do plumbing, I even preferred to do bricklaying over plastering.

no not plastering. although plastering has given me a better living then some other jobs. there are a lot more interesting jobs that was not offered to us when we left school.

3 of my mates are plumbers and I make more money . Plumbing isn't as easy as we think. The small jobs are good in plumbing but the rest isn't that good

Theres a lot of traffic jams over there and one time my work mate got deli belly and had to jump out the car and have a s**t.....there was walls either side of the road so he had to squat down literally about a foot from the car window....the rest of the car journey was really awkward. Job was ok but not for me and the travel was too much once my kid was born so knew it was time for a change.

Plumbing or builder (extensions etc) out of all the trades i now who i consider doing well for themselves i.e rental properties, nice car, nice van. Most are plumbers or general builders. Was speaking to a builder im working for atm and his plumber charges £350 a day for him and his apprentice.

Most of that program is a con, the internet heaving with companies offering training for wannabe property moguls, some charges 35k for 1on1 mentoring. Even the bloke from the program has his own mentorship program
