If there was one tip you would give anybody starting out in plastering what would it be?

Dont say don't do it :)

Mine would be look after your back and save for when the work is short :D
 
Put yourself out there and take time to meet new people,when you go in the builders yard or when another tradesman turns up on site or here on the plasterers forum,get involved and socialise,exchange contact details etc.ive found once I've been given a chance by a builder or some sort of contractor(providing you leave a tidy job and turn up when agreed) they will always be happy to have you back.
 
Listen, watch and take in, ask as many questions as possible there's no such thing as a stupid question, mistakes happen make sure you learn by them, that moaning grumpy c**t who you hate at times is doing it for your benefit..

Use your initiative! Be proactive! Don't wait to be asked!

Every new kid to plastering should take that as an oath before they start haha
 
Find out what time is tea break and what time do you go home and just as important how Much am I being paid
