How would you deal with this crackfest?

It's sagged, crumbling and generally spanked. The room is clear and in need of rewire too.

Some say overboard some say rip it down. Mess isn't an issue.

What would you do if it was your house

Overboarding is quicker and easier

But if mess isn’t an issue and there’s new wires and possibly pipes to be ran rip it down.

You can insulate between the joists too so that people can have a massive illegal party downstairs whilst innocent people upstairs are completely unaware until they find all the empty bottles and party balloons in the morning! :inocente:

Sounds good to me!

personally i would get a big skip outside, 2/3 reliable lads, and pull it down, new pipes/electrics can be done,
get scaffold/plasterboards there,
all the muck/rubbish , and boy will there be some mess thickslick,
get said lads to reboard ceiling,
have a general good clean up /sweep up etc
then i would drop buckets/handboard/plaster off
then when everything is done, and clean, and swept up,
i would appear like a roman emperor who has conqured gaul,
but really i got a hiding in the tutonburg forest,
the said lads will be there triumphantly holding there handboards high,

think i have got a temperature here ,

anyhoooooooo where are you based thickslick, and where did you get that name from
