How much is realistic in a day laying on, mixing up and washing up for one guy to do? I know everyone works at different speeds etc

if you put a price in doesn't matter how long it takes as long your not out of pocket. Working on day work difrent matter then they expect progress that y it better to price. End of the day if it a good job.. No body going to ask how quick you did the job ther going to ask who did that job..
 
No jobs ever the same , sites different/private winters /summers . Which floor you’re on , how well prepared it is .
 
8 hour day at 20 per hour =£160.
That's £80 take home. I'm taxed on half my takings so working off those figures.
£400 a week x 4 =£1,600.
Work 11 months a year =£17.600 a year to live off.
Anything less go work for someone.
That's what I think.
Do better than the above

I think I'd being better off on the cards no hassle money every month but I've enjoyed my 25 years working for my self. The only reason I carry on becouse I've only got 5 years then I can pack winter in. Il be around 49 52 not wishing my life away

300 a day working like fuking nutter I'd rather get 140 a day and get my health. I've seen lads on big money ther fuked in ther 50s in this game. Bad back injection steroids in ther shoulders neck becouse of money. I'd say the150 lads senseble one and greedy fukers are the fools.

not talking about site work. no money there unless you’re a savage like @algeeman even @Djr on the domestics now

Why are you taxed on half your earrings. We get taxed 20% on cis. Then get a few grand rebate in April
 
When I was doing domestics 15 year ago I could easily do a grand and not move out of a 5 mile radius. But the general public are bellends who ended up getting on my tits . Bed wardrobes ect paper still on dogs and kids in the way foooook that never again

I've always said you don't earn your money on the tools you earn it when you're out quoting, pick the right customers charm them with your professionalism, that's where the money is not square metres

Very lucky if you get 300. I think if you work for the rhight people mite get it. My part of the world I'd never get that. I've worked for people whith money end ther very cautious or tight git whith ther money. I rember working for a bloke once worth 6 million in property he took a bag of pink left over from a job to get credit on it. And he was paying me s**t money. A decent bloke would told he to take the bag away

Exactly I'm same m8 work steady 5 6 days I might only do 30 35 hours in that 6 days. People think I get easy life but I do work hard but steady in those hours. I just tell them if you had tried harder in school like me. You have a life like me

its all b*ll***s mate. “Won’t get that money round here” poor mans mentality and you’ll always be poor thinking like that.

if I lived in a shithole area I’d just pitch work bit further out, not rocket science.

if anything I’m greedy as f**k. I set high £ targets and try hit them. Believe me if there wasn’t decent money in plastering I’d not be doing it.

Only do three to 4 days. . Happy with my day rate . Put between 3 and 4 bags on . 8 while 4. Rare I go out to look at jobs or get materials. Now and again I.ll go on price and put a shift in but rather just plod on.

I want 10 properties by time i hit 40 then retire. Then i be happy

My books...if I turn over £35,000 I pay tax on about £19,000. I say taxed on half but it's not exactly. The £16,000 is running costs like van. Fees. Tools.

Even though it's day rate plus materials do people consider other costs. Which reminds me my waste license needs renewal and I normally buy new work ware this time of year. That's £400. Need 2 new tyres soon £135. Sds packed up but will wait for that. Also need new fan as getting noisy. Costs roll on running a business.
Never believe what folks say that earn. All bull. Figures sometimes appear on companies house online. Especially Ltd when they fold.

My low out goings make it easier for me to plod on. Think I.ll have to work till 65 and cant see me doing owt else.
Might have been different if I didn't get one of them mental ex wife things

low out goings? Start saving then get deposit for buy to let n retire 10 years earlier??
