How much does Rendering cost

Well this is an interesting question, I myself have googled the answer, if you have done the same you will find many answers, articles by building and home magazines quoting costs per m2 in different parts of the country , sites such as screwfix chat group , discussions even on Mumsnet , but if you are searching for that cost please bare in mind a few things before generalising a cost
1. Each building is different
2. Access to property ,electric and water
3. Protection of your property and surrounding areas , ie block paving , lower roofs, gutters down pipes, soffits, windows and doors , even the path and road to your property.
4 Variations in product and finishes you might like .
5. Most importantly the plasterers competence of under taking the work , most good renderers you will find only do plastering , fair enough there may be builders or traders that can tackle this task but in general rendering is a plasterers job and tbf leans more towards the more skilled end of the trade.

Bearing all the above in mind by all means find the finish you like but understand all of the above needs to be assessed by said plasterer to give a price in most cases

I'd have to disagree about the skilful bit. Quite a lot of the 'render specialists' only became so because they couldn't hack it as all-round plasterers. No offence intended to anyone.

I'll bet you that @Gibbo, for example, could render most spreads under the table, but what does he do out of choice? Yep skim, skim and more skim. Most guys that think they're earning more by rendering aren't.
Skimming is easier on the body though my personal opinion. I like the ease of the newer renders though.

I said "quite a lot", not all Keith.

I think the modern rendering world is specialised and can’t be compared to the traditional methods it’s not for the all round plasterers

Absolute b*ll***s ...your skills are down to the individuals doing the job ....weather it's plastering cake making or fuucking hair dressing.
I've seen pilots arguing on YouTube over what went wrong in a plane crash in 1965.
Get yourself to oz and render houses in that heat....then you know your render skills.
The jobs I've seen my brother do and he said you spend most of your day cleaning the dry plaster off your tools....
Never heard so much cack ..Vince your getting worse.
