ya mad nut.im just a spread who has tryed loads a stuff to get back on a site .called about 100 firms this week trying to fined some firm thats got the big goverment jobs iv sent about 50 cv s of .look at jobcentr pluss site gumtree.if theirs eny thing on internet that said plaster iv probable called it lol only reson i was posting was if a boarder comes on he could give me heads up .theirs not meny places u can go to fined a lot a ppl in trade job on the inter net just mibi we might be able to help each other out u never no mibi if forum gets more known emplyers might come hear lol.fek nose im just intrested to see how others are doing or is i just me that cant get a start ????? :-[

Site work all dried up lad you may try domestic thats what i done after working on sites for 7 years , its totally different kind of work reskims ,patching etc but its work try an ad in your local paper . :-?

ive been temprorarily laid off (domestic) due to work drying up,

just sitting on me ass, go on jobcentre website - not a sniff on there, i pretty much expect to be out of work til after christmas

i am in the process of learning the trade so cant go on me own just yet :'(

I bumped into a spread in b&q who has 27 years experience and he has run out of work.

Its scary stuff if you got a mortgage, family and in the construction trade. God knows what will happen next year :'(

i took a welding job mate, out the jobcentre, mainly cos its just sommat i can do and its shite money but its guaranteed with as much overtime as i can handle...
had a decent week on domestic this week though so im knackered... next week nothin as yet, maybe a bathroom refit, just old customer wants a new bathroom..
ive got an ad in the paper, costs 58 quid a month, pays for itself every month...
even if i get one domestic job a week it pays to keep your name out there...
i always give my customers a few business cards too, and anyone who i talk to about plastering / renovation work, people pass em round or just keep em in their wallets and it only takes a 3rd party conversation and bang, you got another job...
dunno what the papers like up your way mate but its worth a shot for a month..

steve 1976,your right mate site work dyin on its feet ,im in the middle of a 5 year contract,sweet yes?no!the counsil we sub to only gone an stuck next years buget in a soddin icelandic bank if they aint got it back by march im fkuct,ive given up my ticket,owe 2 grand back tax(disputed)anybody got a spare paddle cause my kiak is shot!
