I'm guessing that's pretty shallow for a loch? I always imagine them being 50ft+

No a lot are very shallow ours is fed from the hill behind but emptys out to the sea at other end

Why did you imagine that?

There's two (2) definitions of loch.

Generally, a Scottish loch is a sea inlet fed by a river and in some other Gaelic type descriptions, it's as described or just a lake.

I suppose just because I've read about the deep diving in places such as Loch Ness.
